I came to the CVC after having an epiphany that if I wanted to see change, I would have to go beyond my personal/business circles and get involved with the activism side of a vegan lifestyle. As someone who is no longer in school, I feared that an internship with CVC would be more geared toward students. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I could build my own internship to satisfy both my interests and my time restrictions. I had known about CVC since I became vegan, so it was fascinating to have the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a nonprofit alongside the founder, while also doing activism work for a cause I love. I’m so glad that I chose to intern at CVC, and I will definitely be volunteering with them more in the future. Not only was I able to create my own unique impact and develop beneficial skills, but I made connections to my fellow Columbus vegans and met some really inspiring people. Intern with CVC, you will not be disappointed.
