Despite my internship becoming remote due to Covid, I have learned so much and have enjoyed these past few months spent working with CVC. Originally, I became interested in this internship due to my recent switch to veganism and my interest in nonprofit work and management. I never anticipated to learn so much about not only veganism, but also its connection to various other forms of oppression and issues related to social justice. While doing this, I (virtually) met other vegan activists in the community and felt connected to people who are passionate about many of the same topics as me. I would recommend this internship to someone who is not only interested in veganism and/or nonprofit work, but also anyone who would like to expand their horizons and continue their education on interconnected oppression and the fight for intersectional justice.
